The Jar Filling Ceremony
Sunday 7th November 2004
On Sunday 7th November 2004 we made our way to the top of Rooley Tops in order to fill the 10 jars with 'Genuine Huthwaite Air'!
First of all the special watering can was placed on the ground for several minutes to allow the denser air to replace the lighter air inside it (the can had filled with lighter air as it was taken out of my rucksack). You can click on the images to view larger versions and more information.
Next, all the jars were filled by pouring the denser air from the special watering can into them.
Lastly, all the lids were screwed firmly on the jars. Shortly afterwards, back in the LAB, (Long Abandoned Bedroom) a silicon sealant was applied to completely seal the jars, and then the labels and Runic Seals added.
For more information about the sealing of the jars that took place shortly afterwards in the LAB, please click on the Shortly Afterwards link on the right.
